OK so June 2nd starting 12:01 the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is open to all signed up. Please don't forget there are ways to earn extra points during this event.

Important things to remember

1. First, you can score an extra 2 points per inches over the minimum length and a minimum of 5 fish posted per week. Example if you caught a Large Mouth Bass, minimum 14" and it measured 18". You would get your 20 points and you would also get an extra 8 points which would get you 28 points for the one fish. The limit of 5 fish per week would get 140 points for the week and the extra points for fish longer then the minimum length would score you more points in the week.

2. Challenge points. First, if you catch any 3 species on the approved tournament list of legal length in one week (defined as Monday - Sunday), you will receive 10 extra points. These challenge points can only be scored once in a week and cannot be a combination of freshwater and saltwater fish. It can only be one or the other.

3. Next is the longest fish twice a month awarded every 2nd and 4th week of the month. You can score an extra 10 points if you land the longest fish of the month. These points will only be award every 2 weeks and there will be 2 winners in the category one for the Saltwater and one for Freshwater category (you cannot win both). Judges will make the final call on the winner so be sure to get those measurement pictures taken clearly.

4. Finally Longest in all species. You can win an extra 5 points for having the longest fish of each species at the end of the Tournament. You can win multiples as well as freshwater and saltwater if you do have the longest fish in each species category. Example, at the close of the tournament you have the longest Large Mouth Bass, Catfish, Carp, Spottied Bass, and Halibut, you will receive 25 extra points to your final total.

Any question please ask....

Just curious how the fish are scored, as far as like if one of the fish is 15.5 does it round up or down? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

OK, everyone, I have started the leaderboard today and we have DCowboy88 in the lead with 707 bASSHOLE in 2nd and Slimfisherman in 3rd.

It is very important that we do remember the following items:

1. Each fish is required to meet a minimum length and is you exceed that length you will receive an extra 2 point for each inch over the minimum length. There will also be extra points awarded every 2 weeks for the overall biggest fish. This is only awarded to one fish each 2 week period.

2. If you are using your apron or a tape measure to show the length of your fish we ask you to use a Bump board like the others. If you use your apron or a tape measure there is a chance your fish might not count as it can be hard to judge true length with anything other then the bump board. (Just a suggestion)

3. Please remember you must try to have the mouth of the fish closed so we can judge for true length. If a fish mouth is open (Excluding the Halibut and Sculpin) you will lose 1 point per-fish. This was voted on and approved my tournament members after the last tournament.

4. Finally, remember if you catch a fish that is of a good size be sure to show the length and the weight if possible. In the end, there will be more points awarded for biggest fish in each category, so in some categories it might be necessary to show the weight to prove biggest overall during the tournament.

Hope everyone has fun during this event please remember we will follow the rules to the best of our ability during this event. There are 4 other judges (the will remain nameless) which step in on all judgement calls. They have served me well in the past and I trust their judgment very much. Tight lines everyone and I will be posting the leaderboard soon.

I have a question. What if one catches a bass at say 23 inches and another catches a 24 inch bass but the 23 Inch fish weighs more... who gets the big fish?

The weight would take it the points are based on length but weight would be the ki ker for biggest fish.
