Hi my name is John. I have been fishing for trout and pan fish most of my life and am now getting back into it. I am tired of shore fishing and because of a knee problem I don't like most of the rental boats, I have trouble getting over that center seat.
I am looking at getting a Sea Eagle 285. I mainly fish the lakes in San Bernardino County area but want to get up to the Sierras soon again.
What are the feelings of the members on this board of the Sea Eagle product I am looking at?
I just did some shore fishing with my wife at Cucamonga Guasti park and we left at noon with two very nice 2 pounders for dinner. Caught both on Power Mice Tails.
Thank you, I look forward to sharing more with you and asking questions and learning.

Welcome to the forum John.
I do not know of anyone on board who has the Sea Eagle, but I would love to hear your take if you get one. Because of the size, it looks like something you would need inflate at the waters edge or trailer to the lake.

I hope this helps

Welcome Duckman/John. I have a Sea Eagle 9 raft (12' long). The Sea Eagle products are made of a heavy gauge vinyl about 1 MM/.04" I think) that is very tough but it also make the item a bit on the heavy side.
