I would wear the waders.
I got out for a few hours this morning and wore mine, I would have been cold without them. Air temp was 48 degrees at 7AM this morning, water temp was 64 to 66 while I was there. However it did warm up to 70 degrees at 11AM. The sun felt good through the clouds, but the prediction is cloudy for this Saturday.

I farmed one bass in 19 feet of water on the drop shot.

Hi Gt as Jerdon said the water temps where running 66 degrees the last time I was out and I did wear my waders as well , but kept a slim layer underneath as the temps where too get into upper 70's .

Jerdon is close in his depths and I also Caught on the drop shot ( Jackall Crosstail Shad ) and texas rigged Zoom speed craw ... The top water action is mainly on bernasconi side right now and inlet area and it last just a short time ... Fish are being caught shallow early on the pond smelt all over the shallows as they wolf pack and push them against the dam or shoreline . So maybe a Jerkbait will get it done as well .

Gt : I can tell you live crawdads drifting in a tube have been slaying them , if I was fishing a color of plastic craw it would be green pumpkin or black for sure Thumbs Up a lot of 4-6# fish recently on craw patterns

Good to hear from u Wes..........ya that is where a yak could cover a lot of territory.

R live craws legal? I thought not. Anyway good to know. I believe I have Junebug colored craw, have to bring along.

I'm interested in casting some 10" plastic worms and or drop shot. They r Gambler 10" ribbon tail/ green p and Gambler 10" ribbon tail/ X-mas. Big Bite Baits 10" B2 green p/Junebug. B P Bait 10" Junebug and BP Bait 10" Green p.

Drop shot and Carolina rig. , utilizing the short leader (12"), to allow the 10" worm to do what its intended to do.......a few top water and shallow divers.

I'm also bringing an assortment of perch jigs and lures.........I need to hone my skills, their getting Bigger and fatter.........

Would have been nice to see u and Jerdon, it's been awhile..........Thanks for the Intel Wes......GT

You got it Robert , The Pan fish gear is a good bet , they are biting amazingly well , better then the bass bite honestly and yes Live Crawfish are legal there , people use them all the time . I am not a bait fisherman anymore really , but no places around lake perris that sell them anymore .. crawfish patterns have been getting bigger bass , Also had some big followers last 3x out on large swimbaits
