Has any bass fishermen tried the new Yamamoto Sanshouo plastic bait? It looks pretty good, like it might be another hot bait like his Ika was when it came out several years ago. (It's still one of my favorite lures) This new bait looks kind of like a salamander or maybe a large tadpole. I would think that if you rigged it weedless with a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook and a light bullet sinker, you would have an awesome bass bait that bass have not seen yet.

Yeah Jeff.. it's got the body of an Ika, the tail of a tadpole or waterdog and it's got like legs. Comes in some nice colors too along with two sizes. It looks like a bait that bass have not seen yet, and baits like that are usually great for a few years. That's how the Fat Ika was for me right after it went out to tackle shops. Almost like a "magical" bait. Now, because so many fishermen have used it for many years, the bass have gotten educated and don't strike it much.

I have a pack after hearing how it "swims" when you drag it back. It was dragged with a small split shot and had a side to side action to it. I haven't fished it yet unfortunately.
