So we are done with another tournament and I think it was better, but there is always room for improvements. There are some good things that where go changes.
1. Max points of 200 per week.
2. Challenge points.

Areas of concern:
1. Getting more participents
2. Keeping more people in the hunt for a win

This is just a few of I am sure many different concerns and I think there might be. I am look for everyone to chime, those that competed and those that where watching. Please post up your thoughts and ideas it takes a team to make things run. We will entertain all ideas, of course we cannot do everything, but you would be supersized what ideas might make it in the long run.

To keep people from feeling like they have no chance you could do flights like a golf tournament. big prizes for the top finishers but something smaller for lower flights as well. Just a thought. This summer was my first as a tuber, but I plan on participating next year!

I think that is fine we just need to be sure to have the same number of freshwater fish as saltwater fish.

OK so a big issue we have had since the beginning is getting everyone that has signed up to fish and post. Most often we seem to get the leaders to run at the start and a few other take a run at it. But those that have not fish and or posted with in the first few weeks don't seem to get into it.

So how do we fix this, here is my idea we hold a few prizes back as raffle prizes, and the FTFF will donate gift card from the Bass Pro Shop. These prizes will then be raffled off at the end to all competitors that posted fish during the tournament, excluding the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner. So even if only landed one fish during the tournament you still have a chance to win something. What does everyone think of this.

I got the distinct feeling like those of us that can only fish during the weekends are at a huge disadvantage due to the lead those that can and do fish everyday. By the time I got the first opportunity to fish during this last tournament, several people had such a lead I just said forget it.

Xen that is why we set the 200 point limit per week as well as challenge points that can be won. I know this does not solve the issue but it was meant to level the playing field a little bit. I am open to other idea on how to help those that cannot get out as much. Let me know what you guys think, this is a problem that can be solved I am sure of it, but what do you guys think.

So one of the big questions is this how do we get those that have not started fishing right off the bat to still get out there and fish. One idea was to give raffle prizes to all competitors that simple posted at least one qualifing catch during the tournament.

I am not sure we can find a fair way to help those that don't fish to catch up to those that are fishing consistently. The 200 point max was added to prevent tubers from spending day after day on the water and racking up massive points day after day. Can anyone think of a fair way to help those that cannot fish daily. Family and work take priority most often and this is a ligit reason as to way people are unable to fish.

Looking for some brain storming please lets try to tackle this issue if possible.

What if the points are 2 points per inch over the requirement for that particular species and you can only submit 5 fish per week. It would reward those who fish every day and keep the people that can only fish on the weekends in the hunt. It would keep it close all year and competitive. you could catch 100 fish a week but only count your top 5 fish. for example... If I caught a 16" Sand Bass i would get 20 points for the fish and 8 extra points for the inches. I'm not sure if this would work but its an ideal anyways.

Its an idea we need some other input, I am not apposed just need to see what others think. Thanks for posting keep it coming.

In addition to a maximum number of points allowed per week, I would also agree that putting a limit on how many fish you could weigh per week would entice more folks to participate. If you want more posting participation add 2 points per week for those that posted pictures. I guess I would need to learn how to do that from a cell phone.
