I wanted to share this with everyone.  The Flatform is a kick boat that is unique in itself which is a flat floating dock.  It is also unique that it does not have a bladder in it is actually a drop stitch construction and here is what that means.

"What is Drop Stitch?
It’s a pretty amazing material our Flatform Fishing Watercraft uses. Other uses for the technology have been floating docks, high-pressure rescue lifting bags, and airplane wings!

This material lets us build inflatables with flat surfaces that can be inflated to rock-hard rigidity. You get hard-shell performance along with the easy transportation and storage of an inflatable. What makes this possible? Tens of thousands of fine threads.

The process starts by joining two pieces of polyester woven support fabric with thousands of fine polyester thread lengths. This base material is made of strips from five to ten feet in width, and up to 400 needle heads may be used in the setup. Each needle sews a continuous, evenly spaced thread, back and forth between the two pieces of woven fabric, locking them together into an incredibly strong unit. These drop-stitch sewing machines are marvels of complexity. When a change is made in the spacing distance between the two pieces of woven fabric, it can take over 20 days to remove and replace the required needles.
"

This is the NRS.com websites dicription of the drop stitch idea, and also how the Flatform is constructed.

So talking to Seven Bass I got this info "There are different grades but the flatform also has rockers on the sides. There are three inflation valves the side bladders or rockers and the main platform or center large bladder.

I posted the flatform boat in the Pontoon and Float Tube group and the main guy there, Ron Klimes, mentioned that he didn't like the type of "soft seat" it has. I've seen that style of seat on kayaks and such but I've never used one.

Has anyone here tried this style of seat? Does it give good back support?

Good question i wish i had that answer but being that it is a seat that clips in you can probably replace it with something more comfortable if needed.

The dynamics are basically the same as my tube. Strap supported back rest. Add a cushion if you need to

SO here is another description of the Dropstitch Technology as well as the advantages of this unique technology.

AIR DROPSTITCH - SEVEN BASS

Technical details :

- Dropstitch: sandwich fabric, inflated between 12 and 16 Psi (ideally at 15 Psi or 1, 03 Bar) of pressure of use
- High pressure collages: solid and durable.
- PVC reinforcements to sensitive areas: drift box.
- High pressure bonding of the two PVC sheets of deck and hull.
- NO TWIST assembly with double thickness rails which prevents the board from twisting.
- Logos: perfect finish and with excellent durability.

The advantages of AIR DROPSTITCH technology from SEVEN BASS:

- All our boards are extremely rigid
- Aesthetics: thanks to this design, the rendering is beautiful
- solid: our boards benefiting from this technology have a great resistance to abuse.
- Dynamic: thanks to our double thickness rails, our boards stay sharp.
- Robust: this technology is 100% repairable thanks to the kit provided

My first post here. Hi, everyone.

I really like the looks of the flatform design. But the chamber with the dropstitching doesn't have a bladder that you can replace or repair? I'd be interested to hear Seven Bass's recommendations for repairing leaks. Surface patch?

Here is the Answer strait from Seven Bass themselves

All of our float tubes come with repair kits and we offer a 1-year warranty. Assuming the user is not: using excessive force, over inflating or dragging the product on rough ground there should be next to no problems. We pre-inflate/test each air bladder in our factory to ensure that there are no leaks. They are left inflated several days before being packed up. Our hybrids- Explorer and Expedition are a completely different PVC material gauge more similar to rafts. While Flatform/Jungle Operator has side rockers and the central platform. We have yet to have a damaged model that wasn't caused by poor handling (dragged on rocks).
