I'm a new pontoon fisherman (bought my first today) from Vallejo, CA. I'm going to be in the state until January when I transfer colleges.
I want to get as much nor cal pontoon fishing in as possible. If there's anyone from the central valley, bay area, or even Sacramento area, I'd like to fish with as many people in as many spots as possible.

You are in a good spot. Used to live up there. Fish the sloughs around Clifton court forebay but be careful of the idiot water lice..make sure you are visible with a flag up high since those speed boaters cut corners close. Any areas closer to the delta (discovery bay, franks tract, etc) you need to watch the wind and tides. Lake Sonoma up north near cloverdale is a good place along with Clearlake (State park is a good place to go). Down in the Hayward area and South Bay, you have del valle, shadow cliffs (arroyo del valle), coyote lake and Anderson. Let us know if you have any questions and we will do out best to help you out. It's been a while since I fished those lakes, but I'll try my best to remember the fine details. Welcome aboard.
