Ok, I see that there is no post here, does that mean that I am the only tuber in North Carolina? Well if not post up and let's see who's here. Cool

I have posted on another fishing board here in NC and told them about this board, so we'll see what happens.

I am not a float tuber, but I have been interested in it. I read DeepBlu's post on our NC site and came over for a visit. It ain't right to let a fellow ncangler venture into new waters alone so I joined up as well, I can tell I am going to enjoy the site.

Howdy Darrell, welcome aboard. Thanks for supporting a fellow NC Angler and RedXer.  Been awhile haven't seen you since the M&G a couple of years ago at Kinston. How you been?

Hello DeepBLu505 I have been great, catching a few fish here and there and having some good times on the water.

We are having a Meet and Greet at New River in August, lots of places for you to soak the float tube up there. Then Bay River end of Sept.

How strong of a current can you make progress against in a tube?

Our RedXAnglers group from here in NC floated a stretch of the New last weekend. We did OK, but the water is low. A float tube/wade trip from put ins and take outs along the river may have been a better option for getting some fish. I was thinking that it might be possible to go upstream some and float back down. Just curious, Thanks

Darrell
