Welcome to the forum talvey!
There is a lot of great information here to browse.
Are you a tuber now?

I have tubed in the past, but it has been about 10 years or so. I'm looking at a couple of different ones right now, but haven't made up my mind. Right now it is a toss up between a Cumberland and a Bighorn. The Bighorn is local (new) and much cheaper than the Cumberland. Is there anything I should take into consideration on either of them?

I'd consider time on the water, your weight, and conditions. I weigh 200, spend four to six hours at a time on the water, and fish only one lake really. I have the Cumberland and it is as comfy as my recliner. If I weighed less and needed to budget, I might consider something smaller. I don't believe I'd consider a river, but I'm old.

Hope this helps.

Of all the things to consider I think comfort is probably the one I would recommend focusing on. It's one (just one, there are many) of the advantages of tubing.

LMAO at Jerdon! jocolor  Since we must all age and get old it is of course a 'consideration' as well.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Thank you everyone for the welcomes and the suggestions. Looks like I will be going the route of Cumberland for a new tube, just have to figure out how to get it in the house and set up without the boss finding out (she said no more fishing stuff till after Christmas)
