What's up all. Rick here from San Diego new to the float tube world and hooked! Bought a used odc420 off cl for fishing the small lakes here for bass. Went out to Miramar last Saturday and caught 9 no size. Went to DVL week before (boat) caught 4 and 1 smallie (bigger fish). Slow Bite.

Might hit up Upper Otay this weekend.

About me: 41. girlfriend. 2 bostons. Fishing, surfing, hoopin', backpacking.

Glad you found us here at the forum. I have gotten a lot of good information from lots of good people here. I am from San Diego also, fished DVL two weeks ago never got a bite, the water was all green with crap for some reason. If you ever want to fish the bay let me know, I like fishing Tideland park under the bridge.

Right On. I maybe taking you up on that offer soon for some buts! Yeah there was a nasty algae growth or something and the water was completely stained. Caught some off the drop, split-shot and texas rigged plastics mainly.

Hey Newbie
I was at Tideland about a month ago and got 22 bass and two real nice butts. I hope to get down to Squaw Lake on the Arizona and California border in Yuma. Great place to tube, lots of bass, strippers and catfish.

And who doesn't like strippers and catfish! lol

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Welcome BFAD! I haven't been back to UO for several weeks because the last time I was there, the water was extremely brown stained, the shad were dying all around me (I watched them come up sucking for air), and there were dead fish all over the place. Hopefully it is taking a turn for the better! LO on the other hand has been pretty good lately!

Boston Terries - that makes sense.
My folks had a pure breed Boston - Doby's "Sonny Boy," a champion stud. That dog had the worst gas of any creature that ever drew a breath.
When he was around, any OTHER creature could hardly draw a breath.

My mom always called them bull or rat terriers, though. She said they had them as ratters when SHE was young on the farm.
