Hey jeffcpr
welcome to the wonderful world of soft plastic pouring! Hee Hee!!….

I have spent countless hours and gobs of money over the years pouring my own. It is a blast! Entertained ideas of starting my own business but I just couldn't stick to it consistently with my job. Yes you are correct, the mold making process is daunting. But it is so satisfying to catch a Big Fish on your own lures! Here is a great site where you can get THE most information from guys who are all serious lure makers. The wealth of information here is awesome and the guys on the forums are great!

Looks like I just poured my first successful 3" swimbait that I designed myself. It is not perfect but I think it is good enough to fish. Once I get a chance to stop working I will be sure to post a picture of my new bait. And maybe one day I will get to fish and actually try it out  Cool

Well my pouring is getting better more smooth and clean, but I tried the swimbait and the tail does not move it lies flat in the water. I am hoping that it is just that I am melting down old plastics. They seem to be very soft I am will try once I get a chance to use some hardener so stiffen up the plastic a little maybe that will make a difference. But I am excited by being able to laminate colors together, my mind if running wild with colors ideas now.
