Lifelong So-Cal resident, have fished fresh & salt entire life ... 50 is in the rear view mirror, a couple years back !! Have always enjoyed fresh & salt bass fishin w/ artificials, last couple years have been fly-fishing in Sierras / Bishop / Crowley area ... getting set-up for pack-in tubin for higher elevation lakes, hopin you Guyz can help shorten my learning curve on float gear and techniques ... like most really not into paying full price/exorbitant prices for gear !! My best to all !!

Welcome to the forum. Plenty of waters near your area that you can enjoy, especially the rough pit called Silverwood Lake. Ultimate fun being dragged by a 20lbs striper.
