Hi everyone. Nice to find a strictly float tube/pontoon forum. Stillwater is my favorite kind of trout fishing and I do that with a fly rod. My home now is Southern California, but have spent some time in Idaho and Montana.

Here is a pic of my beauty on the shore of Henrys lake-

Seeing how your in So Cal its time to get out and do some harbor fishing for some spotties.

Yeah looking forward to it, trout season that is. Up until last year I was hitting Miramar, it was great floattubing, but now they aren't stocking trout any longer. I am sort of having trouble finding a floattube friendly, trout lake. Any suggestions? I do know about Corona and SARL, does Irvine allow float tubes? Cuyamaca is okay, lots of small fish though and they kick me out since I have a tendency to release my fish.

Welcome to this great site! Yeah you can float Irvine and the trout bite is pretty good. A lot of rainbows n browns been caught. You ever fish for the trout eaters? Theres a bunch of awesome bass lakes round here!

welcome!!! float tube friendly lakes that i know. perris, irvine and big bear. although big bear is closed off shore for the season. shore fishing is allowed till winter is over.
